Apparently this book is about two lawsuits (according to the PBS description), however I am on page 302 of 619 and the lawsuits have not yet begun. Talk about a slow start. Byatt writes beautifully, but the "novel within a novel" is a little distracting, especially considering some of the lewd topics of said novel. The setting of this book is also a little confusing, England during the early 1960's, but this is definitly not a novel about the swinging sixties. Others may have the patience for this book, but I'm giving up. I don't really like the main character that much anyways.
