This is a rather odd but beguiling book that becomes more supernatural in content as it develops. Birds learn to talk as they help to solve their own mystery of who they really are. This book was given to my 9 year old granddaughter, but I think she will not be ready for it for another year or so. I thoroughly enjoyed it myself.

The Aviary is a delightful whimsical tale about a girl unlocking the secrets of a wronged family. The unraveling of the mystery is enthralling and I found that I often had trouble putting the book down. I loved every word of it! It's a great entertaining read!
