Fans of Wonderland will be delighted with this story, which captures the real spirit of Alice's adventures and donates a modern, steampunk inspired cast to the Carroll mythology. However, fans of Jeff Noon's other works (Vurt, Pollen) will find it tame and lacking dense characters. The point of this book was to be a true addition to the Wonderland stories as Carroll would have done. In that the book is a huge success and lots of fun. A very light read, anyone who wanted more Alice should pick this up.
