A tour through the secret corridors of power by its best guide. A story of a life before the cameras and in the shadows. A man whose sex life was lived in a closet that sported neon lights. A man who died of AIDS while campaigning against gay rights.

Roy Cohn was sought out by the movers and shakers of politics, industry, the law, the arts ... and the mob. Yet he never held elective office, never ran a political party, never controlled a crime family, never built a building, never even owned one. A cascade of dollars when through his hands, and yet he died broke. All he had was himself.

This book is his legacy, for better or worse.
