As a young adult, I never really knew much about Malcom X growing up. My mother recommended this book to me. I was hesitant to read it because I wasn't interested in hearing about things that he had done but I was more wanting to hear about WHO HE WAS. This book was extremely interesting. I definitly learned things about him that I don't think I would have ever found out without reading this book. I don't want to give away the book but I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand more about this man and the time he lived in.

I consider Malcolm X to be my mentor, and love everything about him and what he stood for. I wish more so called Black leaders was like him instead of being paid off yes men/women. His Autobiography is a very good read. Hard to put down. Brutally honest. Have your children to read it and come away with a better understanding of who they are and how we came from greatness. I'm ordering extra copies to give to my children so everyone can have their own.
