Atherton returns to the original characters of the Aunt Dimity story, Lori and Bill (and Aunt Dimity's journal), in Aunt Dimity's Good Deed. In this story, Lori must figure out why William Willis Sr has left the cottage in such a hurry. She and young Nell set off on an adventure trying to track down William Sr. and unravelling the mysteries of the Willis family tree at the same time. A very enjoyable read!

A charming, warm mystery with characters that the reader can care about. Has eccentric characters and a hint of the supernatural.

Lori's second honeymoon isn't going well - husband Bill had to stay behind in Boston to deal with a client. So, here she is in England with her father-in-law instead of her beloved. But then he takes off on a quest of a 300 year old mystery involving the quarrel between his ancestors, 2 brothers, one of whom left England for America in disgrace. Not only is Lori worried, but so is Aunt Dimity.

In this story, Nell is almost a teenager, but a very self-possessed and elegant teen. She begs to join Lori in the search for Lori's father-in-law. Their travels send them all over the English countryside, meeting some interesting and strange relatives. Even the elusive Aunt Dimity seems puzzled.

Both followers of the series and those new to it will enjoy Lori and Nell's adventures.

In yet another of Lori's adventures, I found a great story, not too intense, but enough of a twist to keep me interested. Enjoy learning more about UK.

Shades of...well, shades anyway - Aunt Dimity isn't alive but she is communicating. Lori is the one who talks with her and together they - sort of solve mysteries. This one takes them into a centuries old feud.

#3 in the Series.

When Lori's plans for a second honeymoon to England with her workaholic husband fall through, she takes along her father-in-law who promptly disappears leaving behind a mysterious note.

Guided by the ghost of Aunt Dimity and her blue journal, Lori's search for Willis, Sr. turns ito a misson to uncover a centuries-old family secret complicated by mistaken identities, falsified deeds, family feuds, and Lori's useemly attraction to her husband's beguiling English cousin.

I love this series, just be forewarned that you need to keep a lot of characters straight and should probably keep notes.

2nd in the series. Lori arranges a 2nd honeymoon for her and Bill, but Bill has become a workaholic and can't make it, so her father-in-law accompanies her, and gets lost. Aunt Dimity helps Lori and Nell find him, while getting involved in problems from the Willis' family's past and present problems. A fun read - read it in one sitting.
