If you were a fan of the Original Star Trek, you'll enjoy this book. Based on the Original Series episode "Assignment: Earth", it has Kirk battling once again with the enigmatic Gary Seven.
I recommend it.

A fun, reference-packed adventure with the Star Trek: TOS crew alongside the enigmatic, Doctor Who-esque Gary Seven and his assistants, hippy chick Roberta Lincoln and the mysterious pseduo-feline Isis. Cox returns to fan-favorite character Gary Seven and throws him, as well as Kirk, into the heart of the Romulan Empire, fighting the dastardly Vulcanoids on the surface of a cloaked planet, all to save a certain pointy-eared someone from an assassination that's two decades away.
