A fast paced thriller featuring a woman pressured into becoming an assassin. There are twists in the plot, but they are for the most part telegraphed well ahead of time. It's a good romantic suspense book, and if you like Linda Howard or Kay Hooper, then you'll probably like this one. First in a series.
Helpful Score: 1
"Great drama with clever twists and turns, lots of well-drawn characters and an unexpected ending....great fun, and a great read.

In Selena's game, the rules are simple: kill or be killed.
Selena spent her first twelve years as an abused child on the mean streets of Jamaica until a wealthy American drug lord, rescued her and raised her to take over his business. But Selena has other plans, and they don't include running drugs. Fourteen years later, she still feels sufficiently indebted to Davis (the drug lord) to submit to his demand that she kill a Tulsa cop who's getting too close to exposing Davis's operation. Selena's target is Detective Tony Ceola, godson to Tulsa's chief of police and her temporary next-door neighbor. Has all the makings of a great series and the second installment Deep Cover - is already in print.
Book 1 in a series.
Fun fast-paced police/crime novel, the kind you can read in a day.
A good guy (cop) v. bad guy (assassin) type book. Nothing surprising but also has an interesting love angle as well as the typical crime drama.
It was OK. A bit unbelievable...
I really liked this book. The characters were unusual and the plot very twisty turny.
