Even though I guessed early on who the main criminal was, I thought this was one of the better books of the series. Of course, anything concerning Robin Hood has my interest. When I was a kid I loved watching the BBC TV series "The Adventures of Robin Hood" staring Richard Green. Of the several movies made about him, the two or three I've seen were a disappointment. I was also surprised to see there were several operas and two ballets made about Robin Hood.

In this book Hugh Corbett and his servants actually deal with several mysteries, including one of significant international importance.
