I am waiting for bells next book Pirate. very good read.
A fast read. Very well written. Great action thriller.
I love Ted Bell's character
excellent book with interesting lead character.
A terrorist kingpin kills several American diplomats and Ethan Hawke is called upon to avert an attack on the government. Fast paced, slightly improbable, but then these days the world is improbable!
Book was awesome!
Book two in the Alex Hawke adventure hero series. Great book.
Alexander Hawke, a direct descendant of legendary pirate Blackhawke, is an expert on espionaige and terror. A shadowy terrorist kingpin has orchestrated the systematic slayings of American Diplomats, and as the death toll mounts, Hawke is called upon to avert a cataclysmic attack.
unreadable ... probably the worse thriller I've read yet and that's saying a lot
(DaVinci Code, anyone?)... comic book level

Assassin is another in the Lord Alexander Hawke series -- and if you've read one, you'll want to read them all. Alex Hawke has reenergized his family's business empire; at age 7 survived watching his parents murdered in front of him on their yacht, and served Britain expertly in uncovering espionage and vanquishing terrorist threats.
Now a new threat looms -- United States ambassadors around the world are systematically being murdered in a variety of ways. And the murders are simply a precursor to a massive debilitating attack on U.S. soil using 100 nuclear bombs the size of footballs.
Both the United States President and British Prime Minister personally ask Hawke to intervene. What Hawke doesn't realize is that his intervention will also enable him to solve and avenge the senseless church step murder of someone he loves.
Bell is a compelling writer. He moves the plot along but provides sufficient character development for you to really connect on an emotional level with both the heroes and villains. For those that have traveled, his descriptions of the various locales let you know that he's been there -- or done his homework. For those that have not, his descriptions make you want to call your travel agent and book the next flight.
In the end it becomes clear that evil is clearly evil -- and good is clearly good. And because good men (and women) refuse to stand by and do nothing -- good triumphs over evil.
Armchair Interviews says: If you like a good read, beautiful description and a good-over-evil story, you'll love Assassins.

great book
First Ted Bell book that I have read and really enjoyed it.
a great read! I really enjoyed it.
Real exciting current story.
For those of you who have read "Hawke" by Ted Bell, you know what an outstanding writer he is. In "Assassin", Alexander Hawke is searching for a terrorist assassin who is orchestrating the slayings of American diplomats.
The title character Alex Hawke is one cool dude. And, the cast of characters is very well done. It is easy to get to know them all. They make you care. The plot was tight. The action was believable. This and other Alex Hawke books should be made into a movie.
I love Tedd Bell books, The main character Alex Hawke is a State Dept. investigator for the American and British goverments which in turn takes hime all over the world protecting the west and her interests. If you love Vince Flynne/Mitch Rapp novels you will love Tedd Bell too.
