This is a true story and i found it heartbreaking as well as interesting. The things some of these immigrants had
to endure, is so sad.

Powerful historical novel about a brave young woman determined to make it in America, no matter what the obstacles. 16 year old Rose is left to fend for herself and her younger sister and throws herself into the hard-knock life of factory work. Good, fast read.
