A wonderful book for any first time puppy owner! I followed the book to the letter and now have a wonderful relationship with my two grown dogs as a result. They are well-disciplined, loving and perfect companions.

Before the DOG WHISPERER came the monks of Skeet. Honest, helpful information on just how to raise a puppy. From before it's birth (mom and her needs) to adulthood. This training method is basic but oh so very important IF you want to do it right, and have a dog that behaves the way you need him to. My sister (who has 22 of the best behaved dogs anyone would want to know) recommended the book, and I pass along her recommendation with mine to you. If you are interested in having a puppy - I HIGHLY recommend this book.

I used this book the last time I had a puppy 9 years ago. What an excellent find! My last dog was so well behaved I could go anywhere with her.
