"Feeling frazzled? Stop whatever you're doing and peruse, as needed, The Art of Doing Nothing, Veronique Vienne's charming RX for harried hearts and overwrought minds. Sweet, seductive, and sassy, her winsome imagination and irresistible wisdom are persuasive reminders that we do too much and live too little."

The paring of beautiful sepia tone photographs with the text are icing on the cake. A beautiful book for the eyes and for the soul.

I've never been able to take the 10 minute naps like the book recommends. Some other ideas good.

Delightful book with chapters on procrastinating, breathing, meditating, lounging, yawning, napping, bathing, tasting, listening, and waiting. Filled with ideas on how to rest and relax.
Tons of great tips to slow down and calm down. Beautiful pictures, too.

This book was somewhat disappointing. I hoped to learn more about doing nothing, like getting a graduate degree in the subject. I have a real interest in doing nothing, as I moved into my new house almost two years ago and I still haven't finished unpacking. Probably because too much of my time is spent doing nothing while meandering through my wooded acreage. The one part I did enjoy was about watching sunsets. The book told me to imagine the world turning over and away from the sun. So the next time I watch a sunset I'm going to hold on to something to prevent myself from falling off.
However, I know just the person to give this to. She has way too many things on her daily schedule.

I think it's more a cat person's book than a dog person's book.
