Behind the carefully photographed woman, just who IS the First Lady of the United States? There's a lot of speculation, based solely on where and when she appears in public, what she is wearing, and the distance between her and her husband at any given moment. Face it: âInterpretationâ is just a fancy word for âguessâ.

SO ⦠how DO we find out about the woman in the White House? If you're a seasoned Pulitzer Prize winning reporter like Mary Jordan, you research, research, research!! You go back to Slovenia and interview people who knew her and her family growing up, you look up records. You do the same with the people she knew in Vienna. In Milan. In New York City. And you publish the results in a book, titled âThe Art of Her Dealâ.

I will not spoil the results of the author's research for those who wish to read them for themselves in the book â the most enlightening details were covered in news articles just before publication, anyway. Suffice to say, Ms. Trump's life is like the proverbial onion; there are layers. The layers are well defined, and there is very little overlap between them. She's close to her parents, especially her mother. AND she is not the weak dominated woman that was portrayed in the press in the early days of the Trump presidency.

Recommendation: Those who would like to know more about the former model turned First Lady are encouraged to pick this book up. Those who are hoping for some political bombshell should not waste their time; it's not the intent of the book.

RATING: 4 stars.
