Imaginative 'first contact' novel. Strong visual images.
Synopsis--if you haven't been aware of Roddenberry's 'Companions' before:
The near-future Earth gets caught between the enmity of two different extra-galactic races who are implacable enemies, forever at war. Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys? Or are there actually no good guys at all, just utterly amoral beings using earth and its people as a handy tool?
