I'm a big Modesitt Jr. fan and out of fairness to anyone considering this review, I prefer space science fiction over all of the other genres. In the vein of futuristic writings I enjoyed Modesitt's Parafaith War and Ethos Effect much more. Many of the same questions about ethics and morality are brought up in all of these books, but I felt the issue was less poignant in Archform (and the adventure in the other books more exciting). Still, a good read (2 nights) and worth adding to your Modesitt library!
