A great children's book! It's so much fun!

A pioneer father transports his beloved fruit trees and his family to Oregon by covered wagon in the mid-nineteenth century. Based loosely on the life of Henderson Luelling.

This is one of the best children's books I've come across as a teacher. It has humor, brightly colored pages, and interesting facts... as well as some far-fetched elements that children love. My students enjoy this book very much!
