This is a great book for any teacher/person teaching young kids about fractions. It gives fractions not commonly found in other "teaching" books.
It also give facts about apples and the various types of apples. Great large colorful pictures. Love the "little people" doing all the work with ladders, ropes, mallets, and stakes. It even shows the star found in the apple when it is cut through the middle and not top to bottom. Great book to be used for a "hands-on" lesson.

Excellent book if your child is learning fractions. I does a great job showing what a fraction means by using apples as examples. It also gives a little information on each type of apple.
