This book starts out way into the future with a space battle and does a time travel back to our current time. It took me some pages to figure out what was happening but when I did I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I have read a few other books and coauthored books by Weber and can add this to the titles I enjoyed.

This book grabbed me from the get go. The sci/fy end of it was so well done that for a short time I believed it was a work of nonfiction. The characters were first rate.
Of course I must say being a consumate sailor the bare mention of a sail boat sets me to reading whatever. Most people will like this book.
