Second in the quirky series about the Greek Gods and their descendants in the modern world. Funny and different, a nice bright change of pace from the usual vampire/werewolf scene.

First book in a 4 book series regarding modern day superheros. They were all fun to read and best read in order. I hate reading a book and finding out that there were other books regarding the characters that were done prior: The order is: Aphrodite's Kiss, Aphrodite's Passion, Aphrodite's Secret and Aphrodite's Flame.

This was a cute and funny story of a Plain Jane, Tracy, having fantasies about the romance cover model, Hale. Tracy gets her hands on her Grandmother's Girdle, which she thinks gives her a boost of confidence, instead it acts out her desires. Hale is a superhero who is sent on a mission to get the Girdle to avoid the bad guys from getting it and thus causing world domination. This is a good and funny love story.
Loved this series...if you like a story filled with humor and/or you have a love of superheroes...this is a great series. This is book one...each book in the series introduces you to characters you will meet in later books. This book has a male superhero...but the women are always spunky!! Totally cool read....only posting these because I've run out of room in my library...have to thin out to add more!

Hale has some issues with mortals. As a famous romance cover model he enjoys their attentions and hell protect them, but thats as far as it goes. Well, until his sister Zoe went and married one. Now Taylor and his friends are mortals that Hale..well he likes them..against his will of course. So when he is assigned to find Aphrodites Girdle and has to get close to a mortal he figures hell do what he does best. Hell seduce her, get the belt and be on his way. That was his plan anyways.
Tracy Tannin is far from famous like her grandmother was. In fact, she finds herself rather plain. When she finds an unfashionable belt her grandma left her, she starts wearing it for confidence and it seems to work. Suddenly men are giving her attention and asking her out. And mugging her. Her life takes a sudden turn and at least the handsome Hale is there to help her.
One of Hales superpowers is animalinguist, he can talk to animals. His constant companion is Elmer the ferret. The author does a remarkable job of bringing Elmer to life and he often steals the show with his thoughts and comments. This is actually the fourth story with some of the same characters. If you enjoy series youll want to start with The Cats Fancy, Aphrodites Kiss and Aphrodites Embrace. The next book in the series is Aphrodites Secret.
