Sweet series. I recommend it.
HIggins is probably my favorite contemporary romance writer. Her characters are complex and realistic, her romances are sweet and heart wrenching and leave me in tears. There's a happily ever after, but it feels like one for the real world instead of merely fantasy. This one deals with the impact of alcoholism and disability on a family. Not usually the "stuff of dreams" but Higgins pulls it off and makes it real.
