North Carolina author of "Fat Lightning" and "Littlejohn". Ive also read "Fat Lightning" which I liked better. But Owen is a good read, and his characters are the 'spitting' image of (some of) the Carolinians I have known all my life. I'm from N. Carolina. This one is about a political canidate, so pick it up if our Senator enters the running again next time.
