I love all her books, but I think I like this one the best because of the mother of one of the children. While her girl needs help, the mother is one big mess as well, and through working with Torey as a teacher's aide and and a long painfull process to become friends she gets much of the help she has needed for so long. I ended up caught up in her problems more than the children, but the whole story was great and I love all the help she brings to these children than no one else seems to be able to help.

Another touching and heart warming book by Torey Hayden. This time, she finds that the mother of one of her students needs help as much as the woman's daughter. Torey always brings her students to life for the readers, allowing you to see that disabled and severely emotionally disturbed students are very special beyond the confines of their sometimes outrageous behavoirs.

This one was a hard one to read but well worth the tears. Stories are very sad and it took a lot out of me. Made myself read only a little a day. Took five seven days to read. Torey Hayden is truly a gift and is not affaid to step out of the box. Do wish I had someone like her when I was in school. My gift came to me in the form of a boyfriend(now husband), he pulled me out and aloud me to live.

All of Torey Hayden books are worth the read. This woman is a miracle worker. Here she tells of another story with troubled children and how, with little to no help, she manages to make a class room for these very troubled children that most teachers would not have a clue how to get thru to. She never gives up. Each child is a blessing and even though difficult, you will love them all at the end of the book.
