This was such a fun read for me. A bit a fantasy mixed up with a lot of humor. I found myself giggling through the whole book. At the beginning I wasn't too sure about the book but it soon took off and didn't stop until the end. The story line was good and the funny comments was great but the best thing about this book was the characters. I loved them all. Even the evil wizard was a hoot. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
The first book in the Myth series - high caliber sorcery & silliness!
This is a cute story of fantasy/sci-fi. A quick enjoyable read.
Fun read
Decent fantasy-adventure. My 12-year-old thought it was hilarious.
Fun. Light reading.
Really funny. 3 generations in our family from retired to middle school child laughed
this was a great, quick read. I love reading earlier books from this genre to see how books have evolved over the years. The characters were well rounded and it made me look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.
The fun and enjoyable beginning of a popular series.

Kind of thin. Weak fantasy world, weak action, limited romance. Maybe this book is good for middle school-high school readers. I found kind of irritating how much of the book was filled up with back and forth chatter between the youthful protagonist and his mentor -- chatter that was supposed to be humorous.
Rolling on the floor funny!
