What a travesty! How could this author think that putting modern sensibilities and historically inaccurate activities into an Austen story would be okay? Marathon training? Red cross nursing? Avon home parties? Modern slang? My husband said I should have stopped reading it when, after every page or so, I kept exclaiming,"Oh, my heck!" to every obnoxious addition. I had to finish because, 1)I paid for the book, and 2)I had to see where the train wreck landed. Well, it's done and I can send it on to someone else on Paperback Swap.
