Three wonderful stories. Crossroads and the postcard are part of a set, it was nice to have both the books together and not have to wait for the second. It is about a Plain widow who looses her eyesight after seeing her son and husband killed in a buggy accident. When a Englisher comes to stay at her parents in and finds a postcard in an old desk, an old mystery is unraveled and a new romance begins.
The Sanctuary is about a troubled young women who is running from her past and how running to Amish country helps her find her faith.

These three stores mingle the lives of the Amish, Mennonites and "Englishers" - a very true depiction of how, despite our religious beliefs, we are all live in the same world and sometimes find friends in unlikely places.

This particular book does contain THREE separate books by this author.

I love all Beverly Lewis's books on the Amish. She lends many interesting details about their heritage, which for me is interesting

This is a very good read. The book contains 3 novels. The "_Postcard" is the beginning. A man struggling with what he perceives is his life forever visits Lancaster county and finds the "Plain people" are what he is what he is craving and missing from his high stress New York life.
The "Crossroad" is a sequel to the first story. The New York journalist keeps returning to the " Plain people" and doesn't understand why. Finally he figures out what he wants and it is in Lancaster county.

The third novel,"The Sanctuary" is different type of novel and very intriguing. A lot of twists and turns had me continuing to read till 2 am just to find out what happens on the next page!
