This is the dramatic, moving and little known story of the wild horse in America, starting with the Conquistadors down to their hunted life today. The author, Hope Ryden, a writer and producer of documentary films, was filming a story in the wilderness when she got the idea for the books. Consequently, she filmed a documentary of the same name and over two dozen of the illustrations /photos in the books are from the film.
