Kent Family Chronicles Vol. 8. John Jakes is absolutely the best ever author of Historical Fiction! This series of books was what started me on my reading journey as an adult. It got me through many lonely hours away from home and country when I was overseas serving in the U.S. Air Force.
I have been reading the whole series. John Jakes research it outstanding. I am a student of American History and find these books to be an excellent source of the early years of this country.
Great civil war and beyond series.
