The afghans in this book are great, the colors are dated but the patterns are really fantastic, you just can't find afghan patterns like these any more. There are picture afghans that are beautiful and the afghans with cross stitch ( which is why I ordered the book) are not only beautiful but the colors are classic and can still be used today. There easy right up to experienced pattern levels. Some of the afghans include a log cabin, a very beautiful granny square, the picture afghans include a castle, bear and duck holding balloons sailboats, farm scene, zoo animals, tulips, Dutch pin wheels, desert scene, butterflies, jungle animals.
