The Ondori Quilt books are just fabulous. They have very attractive color photos of the projects plus their diagrams are wonderful. The diagrams have a lot of detail which makes it easier to understand. I also enjoy seeing the color combinations that they use on their projects. Some of the projects in the book are: small coverlet, pillows, wall hanging, bedspread, placemats and napkins, tablecloth, tray mat and coasters, potholders, tea cozy, pincushions, scissors case, picture, cosmetic cases, lunch bag, tote bag, small bag and Christmas ornaments. Although photographed in Japan and the book is made in Japan the designs are very American. Japanese women love quilting. I got a lot out of this book. It's a pleasure to read.
This book is full of colorful images that I call eye candy. The traditional designs are used in full quilts as well as many small projects. The projects are: Rose Wreath Coverlet, Log Cabin and Flying Geese Pillows, North Carolina Lily Coverlet, Star of Bethlehem Wall Hanging, Double Wedding Ring Bedspread, Tumbling Blocks and Nine Patch Pillows and Mat, Nine Patch Bedspread, Tulip Placemats and Napkins, Drunkard's Path Tablecloth, Ohio Star and Nine Patch Tray Mat and Coasters, Ocean Wave and Pineapple Potholders and Mitten, Maple Leaf Placemats and Tea Cozy, School House, Bow Tie, Flower Basket and Six-Pointed Star Pincushions and Scissors' Case, Rising Star Cosmetic Cases, Yo-Yo Flowers Placemats and Lunch Bag, Christmas Tree bag, Girl Applique Tote Bag, Berry Applique Tote Bag, Cathedral Window, Dresden Plate and Trip Around the World Tote Bags, And Christmas Ornaments. There is something for everyone in this collection of patterns. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is that the book does not easily lay flat when open to use.
