To me, Will Rogers has always been the quintessential American. During his life, Rogers wore many hats, trying to find his niche. He died at the peak of his popularity and is still widely known today. His humor was biting but never vicious. Because he made such fun of the government and politicians, much of his humor is still relevant. This story of his life told about all facets -- his early struggles, his home life and children, and finally his death. The author kindly shared many of Rogers' quips. This was a very satisfying read.
