This book provides an in-depth look at one film for each period of American history.

The part that I like best is that it also provides a list of other movies set in the time period if you are not able to get the movie that they focus on.

They did provide a blank sheet for analyzing a movie on your own and included a glossary of movie terms that I didn't know. That was nice.

I would have rated it higher if they would have gone into more detail on the "other movie" list. If they could have given one or two pages to each of about 3-4 movies and let me pick and choose (even if I choose to do them all!), rather than dedicate several pages to one movie that I might not want to use or might not be able to get.
