I really enjoyed reading this book as the personal and historical review of the events that Stephen Ambrose considers foundations is quite enlightening as well as entertaining. The book is a must for any history buff.

Each chapter covers something he wrote a whole book on, so he knows his facts, but honestly, I thought I was back to reading high school essays again, with the PC correctness, both left and right. (At least the grammar was correct).
