This is a book very different from what Ms. Sala usually writes. It is absolutely delightful and a great story with wonderful characters. I sat in the Doctor's Office waiting room and laughed out loud until I had to close the book so as not to further embarrass myself. This is the story of a 'soiled dove' and the town drunk who go on an adventure, pretending to be a preacher and his assistant. Their adventures are really delightful and in the end, they become very successful. I reccommend this book very highly.

What a fun read! It's a fitting follow-up to "Whippoorwill", but you don't have to read that one first, if you can't. Eulis and Letty are both such strong, adaptable people and I never tired of accompanying them on all their adventures and all the scrapes into which they landed. I highly recommend this book.

Continuing saga of Letty and Eulis traveling on the Amen Trail, little short stories as they are traveling and end up in different places, a funny tale you will enjoy but read the first book before this one.
