Diedre McAlister's mother is dying. But before she lets go of this life, she gives her daughter and old photograph and these parting words: "Find yourself. Find your truth. Just don't expect it to be what you thought it would be." And now the search begins-a quest to find the only person who can provide the missing pieces, the truth. But that search will cost Diedre her naive innocence and expose her family's unknown dark side. It was a very good book from the very beginning.

This is a book that you will not want to put down. I have requested two other books written by this author as I liked it so much.

A great story about love, forgiveness, evil and the joy that comes from God. You can't wait to get a moment to read it--wraps you up in the story.

This is an excellent story of a sin that hides in many a family, how the truth finally came out & how God brought healing to those involved. I highly recommend it.

This was a good book - about the heartbreak of sexual abuse and what it did do this family. A page turner.

I guess I have read too many books about "family secrets" because I knew from the outset what the secret was. So I found this book very dull. Even though it is about a sad situation, the subject has been over discussed. It was well written. It's just tht I had heard the story before.

Before 25 yr old Diedre McAlister's mother dies she shares with her a box containing a picture of her older sister who has not been talked about since she was small. Everyone said she was no longer living. Her mothers parting words were "Find yourself.Find your truth.Don't expect it to be what you thought it would be.
So begins a search for the truth. Some good mystery involved and the end keeps you guessing.

One photograph changes a lifetime of lies. This is the 6th book by this author and they have all been great reads.
