From the back cover:
With her mom and Max engaged, Amber has lots to think about. Her life is bout o change in a big way. Then her dad says that he is coming back to the United States and he wants Amber to live with him. What will Amber do? Now her parents fight every time they talk on the phone. amber brown is so angry that she is seeing red!

My note: the book ends on an "up" note, in case you were wondering. This book would be good for children that have to deal with the sad reality of divorce in their lives.
