James Rollins' novels have become just what a person needs every once and a while. If you're looking for some crazy creatures, exotic locations, easy to hate villans, and tons of action, you will never be disappointed with his offerings.

Rollins writes twisty thrillers, in the vein of Matthew Reilly, with lots of unlikely action, bloodthirsty beasts, and tough heros. This audio is fast paced, and highly entertaining. It seems as though your cassette player doesn't move fast enough as his group moves through the treacherous jungles. As if the normal Amazon jungle isn't scary enough, this jungle has mutated piranha like frogs, carniverous locusts, and caimens and jaguars the size of which has never been seen before.

Amazonia is a mix of action, superb character development, geography, military tactics, amazonian mysticism, unbreakable family bonds, and a healthy respect for the power of nature all wrapped up in a extremely entertaining book.

It goes without saying, the element of reality has to be suspended if you truly want to enjoy this audio. Let your imagination go free!
