This story is about a woman who was part of an ancient matrifocal culture who suddendly appears in our present day. Ann's observations about our own world lead us to think again about our values and customs we condsider normal, and how they got that way. It is a very entertaining read, a must for any young woman.

I liked this book a lot. I loved how the woman perceives 21st century society from a matriarchal foundation. It's so interesting to see her perspective. I found myself agreeing with ... pretty much all her observations. The plot was really well done too, and the ending superb. 5 stars. I think this book can be read by anyone - at any age - but, I'd have loved it if someone had given me this after puberty, or after I had my period. It really would have opened my eyes much sooner to fundamental issues of which all young women should be aware. Plus, it's also an entertaining read.
