Amaryllis Lark is undeniably beautiful. She's also one of the best psychic detectives on st. Helen's, the earth colony recently cut off from the mother planet, yet not so very different from home--a place where love still defies the most incredible odds. Lucas Trent, the rugged head of Lodestar Exploration, isn't keen on the prim and proper type--and, from her neatly buttoned business suit to her cool evaluation of his request to bust a corporate thief, Amaryllis is excruciatingly proper. Amaryllis may have psychic powers, but she can't read minds--least of all her own. When a bold hunch leads them from a wild murder investigation to a red hot love affair, Amaryllis is shocked, Lucas is delighted--and no power on heaven, earth, or St. Helen's can keep them apart!

This one is a keeper for me. I re-read it periodically. I love this world where certain paranormal abilities are normal but it take two complementary abilities to work well, which draws people that seem like opposites together. Romantic suspense with a paranormal twist.

Jayne Castle is just one of this author's names AKA Jayne Anne Krentz, Amanda Quick and Stephanie... something.
A wonderful prolific writer who categorizes the type of novel by the name she writes under.
Jayne Castle writes more supernatural books, as this "FLOWER" series of 3 books, about women who can project a crazy strong prism that their dream man can use to focus his off the chart talent through.
"The Jaynes" all write stories about strong women, and not just as the main character, which is why I own all of Castle's Books, a lot of Krentz's and all of Quick's ( I think the Stephanies were Harlequin Romances).
If you want supernatural women stories, Orchid, Amaryllis and Zinnia are a 3 story must reads.
Jayne Castle's newest books are about the planet called Harmony which is similar, but different than the 3 Flowers. I've always liked tham and gave them 5 stars!
