A fun light read.
Funny and completely enjoyable.
This book was a good, mindless read.
This is a funny light read that I really enjoyed this summer.
Fun chick lit about the friend who seems to have it all - even marrying her college crush
This was a much better book than I anticipated!Had I known it was going to be so cute and funny I'd have read it sooner. It is British chick lit.
From the back cover: ...has captivated readers on both sides of the Atlantic as it cracks wisw about being dumped, shopping, bingeing, the consequences of not cleaning your bathroom floor...and the depths to which one can sink in the name of nice girls everywhere.
This book was not my cup of tea. I found the use of English slang far to confusing for my taste. A little bit of slag would have been nice but there was far to many references to it. Plus I did not find the main characters likeable or interesting. I don't think I would read anything by her again.
Great holiday read - especially for the beach or pool. Quirky funny characters and a good story.
Amanda ... the friend you love to hate!
Didn't really like this one at all. I was only able to read the first 3 or 4 chapters and finally threw it against the wall. But if this author is your thing - go for it.
Mel and Fran can't believe it when their old schoolfriend Amanda, Satan's very own PR girl, pulls off the ultimate publicity stunt in getting herself engaged to a Scottish laird. Who cares that Fraser McConnald has worn the same pair of Converse trainers for the last three years and that his castle is a pile of rubble with one Calor Gas heater - she'll be titled!
Very sweet and very funny story, and not nearly as obnoxcious as most chic lit books out there. the mood of it reminded me a bit of "Must love dogs" meets "Bridget Jones"
Very hard to get into. Gave up.
