God Bless Gilda! Oh how she is missed. Read this book with a box of kleenex and weep for the talent we all lost with her death. Even while ill, she still had the composure to write with wit and humor.

I adored Gilda Radner and was so saddened by her death. This is her story not only about her struggle with ovarian cancer, but also her marriage to Gene Wilder and some of her career triumphs. It's as sad as you would expect, since her struggle was very tough to read about. While she was very brave, her vulnerability came through too. As a big fan, it was nice to get to know a bit more about her life.

I read this book when it first came out, and loved every bit of it. The show-biz insight was great, and I loved the behind the scenes information on SNL, having been a big fan of the shows early years. The reader really gets to know Ms. Radner, the good, bad and the unbearable. I clearly remember reading the last page, closing the book, getting into my car for a drive and hearing on the radio that Gilda had passed away. Having just shared her story, I felt as if I'd lost a friend. I highly recommend this moving and entertaining story.

At the time It's Always Something was released (1989) cancer and it's devastating effects on the patient and family was still being dealt with in quiet discussions among family. This book helped us to see the devastating effects of cancer through the eyes of a wonderful and funny lady. This was the precursor to Farrah Fawcett's again opening up public discussion so that we can continue to pursue the fight. Cancer doesn't play favorites; any one of us is vulnerable.

Wow, what a powerful book, especially now, so many years after she has passed away. I got the chills reading this memoir and oh, how I laughed and cried. Gilda was so brave and so darned funny, even in the face of such deperate odds. She died shortly after the book's completion. Thankfully, cancer treatments are not nearly as horrific as Gilda's and the diagnosis of ovarian cancer can be made much more quickly. Still, it makes one aware of the fragility of life and what is truly important. God Bless you, Roseanne Roseannadanna!

Gilda is very honest and straightforward about her experiences with cancer treatments. She really makes it easier to understand what it's like to be in her shoes.

If you're going through ovarian cancer, it's a very relevant and hopeful read. Even though Gilda didn't make it, the book is inspiring.

I got this book when I was being tested for ovarian cancer. Thankfully I am fine - this book was not only a touching story of a wonderful lady, it also gave me practical info on ovarian cancer.

Gilda Radner was able to use her sense of humor to deal with cancer...the most "unfunny" thing you can imagine. An excellent read for anyone whose life or family has been touched by cancer...unfortunately, isn't that just about everyone?

NY Times #1 Bestseller...powerful & poignant & at times very funny says San Diego Tribune....I rented the HB copy from the library as soon as it came out and never forgot how moved I was reading the book. So, when I saw a chance to buy a PB copy to pass onto PBS I jumped at the chance. This is a really, good, moving true story of the life of Gilda Radner (Saturday Night Live).

I really enjoyed this book, it was a fast read. However I thought it was going to be an autobiography about Gilda Radner and it really isn't. It is an intese account of her years dealing and fighting against cancer. I'm not saying it isn't good, just want you to know what your getting yourself into.

This is an autobiography of Gilda Radner in which she tells her toughts about the cancer that killed her. I admit, I had tears rolling down my face at the end of the book. She describes just how she felt at certain times of her treatment and how hard it was on her, but how much more harder it was on her husband, Gene Wilder. This is a sad, and an inspiring read.

OH, how i enjoyed Gilda, she died way too young. this book is about her early career and then her diagnosis with ovarian cancer.she tried everything even some not so mail line treatments. this is also a great love story between her and Gene Wilder,he loved her so. i will also admit it made me cry for the loss of someone with so much potential but also because there still is no good treatment for ovarian cancer these many years later.
