A little funny, a little sad and a mystery.
One in a long series of mysteries about a small town newspaper editor in the Pacific northwest.
This was a pleasure to read. All of Daheim's books are delightful. This one draws you in to the small town in which she lives and makes her friends your friends. A great read. If you have a long flight,
consider this a book to make it less of a chore.

Hm... tough one. Not as strong a mystery as usual, but good character advancement, so important to the series. Out of a very long and generally well done series, this is one of the weaker books. That said, fans will recognize a new chapter beginning in Emma's life and shouldn't skip this book. New readers - start at the beginning.
Emma Lord, editor of the small town paper, finds the actors in a play are just too real and the action is deadly for one of them!! Again Mary Daheim has written an exciting tale of murder and mayhem which can only be solved with the help of Emma Lord! Light humor and realistic characters wind their way into the reader's heard!!
An Emma Lord Mystery what more can I say...
