Excellent book by Davies. It was the first book of his that I have read and I am hooked on his brief yet pointfull way of describing the most complicated subjects. Reminds me of Ernest Hemingway's style in the sense of briefness yet he makes his point.

The book is from the 90's so the only thing I see lacking is recent discoveries dealing with extrasolar planets and with black holes, etc.

Otherwise, this book really gets you thinking about the reality of contacting "ET's" and what the philosophical, religious moral and simply human reactions would be.

Highly recommend this book!
