Futuristic erotic romance from New Concepts: The male-warrior dominated Planet of Macedon doesn't have enough women to produce enough children to keep the planet going, so they abduct women from Earth. Simone is abducted, and cannot accept her new status as a lowly breeder. Camryn, Kael, and Ean were drawn to Simone for her spirit and determination, the very traits that they now want to squash. The Earth women are enough to change Macedon forever. I was uncomfortable with this story in the beginning, with how the women were treated, and very disappointed with the men. But, as it went on, the book felt more like a Kaitlyn O'Connor. I prefer her early Cyborg series better. But the writing is good, the story, not bad. The sex scenes are spicy, includes menage.

Like the previous reviewer, I was uncomfortable with this story in the beginning, with how the women were treated, and very disappointed with the men. However, if you look at how women were treated before they got the right to vote in our country, it sure rings true. The guys wanted Simone because of her inner strength and boy, they should have been careful about what they wished for! Simone and the women that stand with her remind me of the women in the book "IronJawed Angels" (National Woman's Party's militancy evolved during the period of early twentieth century feminism and American suffrage as a response to the intransigence of male-centered government). It shows that if you want change, you have to risk a lot. Very good story. The sex was great and I liked how the Concubines handled the men of the council. Very ingenious but sad for the Concubines. I know, I sound like a downer but I really enjoyed this book and, if I hadn't already promised it in a swap, I would have put it on my keeper shelf to read at least once more.
