James Patterson's hero, Daniel X, is the perfect character to be represented in a graphic novel. The science fiction adventures that Daniel X finds himself ensnared in are perfect for this format of storytelling. One does not have to have read THE DANGEROUS DAYS OF DANIEL X to enjoy or appreciate the eye-catching story depicted in DANIEL X: ALIEN HUNTER.

Daniel isn't your typical teenage boy. He's an orphan. And, oh yeah, he's an alien. His parents were universally (and I mean that literally) famous alien hunters. Number 1 on their list murdered them when Daniel was a small boy. He has followed in their footsteps and won't rest until he has done his job and avenged their deaths.

In DANIEL X: ALIEN HUNTER, Daniel faces off against the Game Consortium. The story takes place in the dark corners of Tokyo. Daniel is after who he refers to as Number 7. To complicate matters, Daniel discovers Number 7 has a son, Kildare. Daniel somehow knows that Kildare isn't evil like his father. If he can get to know Kildare, maybe he can discover a way to get to Number 7.

But before long, Number 7 is onto Daniel, and Kildare and Daniel are fighting for their lives. Number 7 may be too strong for the two boys to defeat.

Through clever storytelling and brilliant artwork, the story of Daniel X comes alive for the reader. Even if you're not a fan of graphic novels, the story pulls you in and captures your attention. DANIEL X: ALIEN HUNTER is a nice addition to the series. It stands on its own accord, but also enhances the first novel by Mr. Patterson & Mr. Ledwidge.
