This is an excellent book! The author covers home brewing from the legal to the felonious. He does point out where the line between legal and illegal is, and he definitely discourages the reader from even thinking about crossing the line into felony.

The excellent coverage of wine and beer making makes this book worth its weight in gold. The emphasis is on natural ingredients and practicing your craft rather than brewing by chemistry. Unlike other brewing books I've read, the author encourages the reader to develop their own recipes. Because the author is an excellent teacher, I believe that I can do just that.

This book is a keeper. The directions for making your own malt for beer and the conversion of grape to juice to raisin for winemaking assures my copy a permanent place on my bookshelf.
