This is such a beautiful book. It's not just a "how to" book ... it's a whole journey. I absolutely fell in love with Natalie Chanin and her designs. In using her patterns and instructions to make my own things, I realized what a truly remarkable thing she is doing. I know exactly why her garments are so expensive - it takes a very long time to hand stitch such details!!

The book is well written, with gorgeous photographs, clear instructions, good pattern pieces ... and, as a bonus, some wonderful recipes.

Would recommend this book to anyone who either already loves hand-sewing or wants to get into it. This is a book both beginners and intermediate sewers can love.

This is the book that actually taught me to hand-sew! 5 stars.
