An intense story of the complexities of family relationships. Suri is a master storyteller and his prose is so cleanly crafted--reading this book is like being caught by a blast of icy wind. It is sometimes shocking, sometimes all too recognizable as the truth of the human condition. Excellent writing and characters that will haunt you. The setting is also so richly detailed you can feel/taste/smell every part of the intoxicating landscape of India.
