This was by far one of my favorite books in the series! It was so enjoyable, and just what I craved, that I couldn't put it down and was able to finish it in a matter of hours. I was diverted as to who the real killer was, which is always satisfying since I was truly stumped, and I really enjoy the occasional change of setting from Carsely. I continue to feel sorry for Agatha's love life, and will always keep pushing for her to come out on top in love, however I think the author will keep the carrot dangling in front of our noses for books to come.

Oh, Agatha!! Yet again trying to find an easy way to get what she wants. She goes to a local witch to get a hair growth tonic to quickly grow the hair she lost from the last book. And of course she just has to get a love potion for the forever out of reach James Lacey. She is truly funny and clever in this 10th book. I just love her!!

#9 Agatha Raisin mystery. With the bald patches on her head from the last book barely growing in, a humiliated Agatha is off to the seaside town of Wyckhadden to recover away from James Lacey and her friends in Carsely. In the cold off-season, she almost has the place to herself except for a few elderly permanent residents at her hotel. When one of them recommends that she visit the town witch for a hair-growing potion, Agatha decides to try it. Of course, when the witch is killed later, she regrets her decision and is once again mixed up in police business. Light, quick read. For some reason I find it quite easy to laugh at Agatha with all her worries over aging, beauty and catching a man whereas if it were some other character I'd just be annoyed. The elderly folks featured in this book were all delightfully characterized, too.

Agatha in her ever-more search for love ...

Fun, fast-paced mystery and, happily, no x-rated stuff.

Agatha Raisin is off and running - running away from home and the unrequited, unreturned love of her neighbor. She settles into a comfortable hotel in the seaside village of Fryham, to mend her heart and recover from a hair-raising experience. Here, Agatha confronts the next step after middle age, as well as finding herself in the middle of a murder investigation. Agatha plunges in with her usual abrasive style, winning hearts (the wrong ones, of course), making enemies (without even trying), misunderstood and misunderstanding, and never really knowing where exactly it is that she is headed. A terrifically terrifying prediction, a bottle of hair tonic and a love potion get Agatha in more trouble than she ever imagined.

Different setting than Carsely, but a good book in all. Once again though, can Agatha ever be happy?

Bittersweet novel of our favorite middle age Agatha, who is looking for love, trying to forget an old love and trying again to solve another murder. Very funny, yet sad and bittersweet at points.

Agatha Raisin is an ecentric detective who lives in the Cotswolds of England. She's a character! Good, light series.

Another delightful Agatha Raisin book in the series. Agatha flees to the seaside this time after having her tresses fall out and she wants some privacy while they grow back but, of course, mystery follows her wherever she goes as well as romance.
