I love Agatha Raisin and all of her faults and foibles - while this was not my favorite installment, it has most of the familiar characters, and is still worth reading if you're an Aggie fan like me.

After chasing murders and solving crimes, Agatha is now going to turn her hand at Ghost Chasing. She, with her new hansome neighbor, Paul are out to investigate the Hauntings at an Tudor home in a near by town that seems to frigten old women that lives there. Is it a real haunting or someone out to fighten the old women to death?
They never get a chance to find out, as Agahta in true style runins the investiagion by being scared off by the sight of the old woman in a green face mask and white robe and runs out of the house, leaving Paul behind and women angry at them both.
This book is full of twist and turns and is another who done it. With some English History thown in.

Agatha has a new neighbor and is in love again even if he is married. Sir Charles is back in her life as well, sans impetuously-acquired wife and children. The three of them take on a supposedly-haunted house in a nearby village but find no ghosts--only the murdered owner and a mysterious hidden passageway. I used to prefer Beaton's Hamish McBeth series but I am coming to like Agatha better all the time.

Very good book! I liked it so much that I spent a whole summer reading the rest of the Agatha Raisin books. And I'm not a big fan of the mystery genre either.

Agatha Raisin is rather content in her hometown, however, sometimes she does get a little bored. That is, until Paul Chatterton arrives. Then everything gets a tad more exciting.
But the excitment soon turns dangerous when the two have to solve a mystery about an abandoned old house with a possible ghost.
But even that gets boring when Agatha discovers that Paul isn't that great and the mystery isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Agatha is at risk of losing her reputation of number one sleuth in her neighborhood...or ever worse...she's even at risk of losing her life!!
